Our Story

Although Tanzania has achieved impressive political and economic development as well as improved social well-being in recent years, many communities still face significant development challenges.

Environmental degradation, economic division, population growth, various diseases, poor incomes and other similar factors have caused communities failure to afford living conditions, failure to pay for their children better education and food scarcity.

We, Ahsante Foundation Tanzania, have decided to commit to supporting communities in mainland Tanzania to reduce or end the challenges facing our communities.

About Ahsante Foundation Tanzania (AFOTA)

Preamble (summary): AFOTA – Ahsante Foundation Tanzania is a registered non-governmental organization committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable communities across Tanzania. We work to support orphaned children, low-income families, widows, the elderly, and marginalized groups through humanitarian aid, clean water initiatives, education support, community development, and long-term empowerment programs.

Humanitarian Aid & Food Support

We provide urgent support to families in need by distributing food packages, slaughtering livestock for community meat programs, and supplying essential items during emergencies. Our goal is to ensure that no family goes to bed hungry.

Infrastructure Development

Working with local and international partners, we support community projects such as building homes, repairing schools, constructing mosques, and improving local infrastructure.

Orphan & Vulnerable Children Support

Enabling children from vulnerable and orphaned communities to receive quality education and advocating for children's rights.

Water & Sanitation Projects

We drill community wells, install water systems, and promote hygiene practices to reduce diseases and ensure reliable access to clean water.

Partnerships

Collaborating with foreign and domestic non-governmental organizations in providing a wide range of social services.

Advocacy

We provide financial literacy, skills training, and social support to women and widows to help them rebuild their livelihoods. Youth receive training opportunities that encourage creativity, responsibility, and entrepreneurship.
